After breast cancer treatment, as a result of being on a hormone-blocking drug to reduce the risk of recurrence, I felt like my body aged 30 years, practically over night. While that's never something anyone wants to experience, it forced me to devote time to learning even more about how the body works. And, that is good news for my clients and all of you.
If you're a runner, and you’re struggling to run because you have aches and pains… or if you’re someone who has always wanted to run but feels like you can’t because you feel like your body is creaky and tired… Or if you can't even get started with a workout program because it's just uncomfortable to move... WE NEED TO TALK. In fact, today’s episode is all about ways to change up your training so that you can perform your best at any age.
I’ve talked before about the 8 pillars of health:
In this podcast, I talk about the first four on the list and suggest you make these a priority. Then, I dive into how you can switch up your training to get the most out of your efforts as you get older.
And, if you are someone who struggles to get started... if you have trouble sticking to your plans and being consistent, I invite you to sign up for my free, online course, Crush Your Goals (Even if You Are a Chronic Restarter). We all have that one thing we can't seem to get on top of, no matter how much we try. THIS is the month you conquer that goal!
Head over to my website at www.crushingmygoals.com/crush-goals and sign up. It’s free. There are no tricks. It’s not a workout program. It’s a program to help you identify your goals, what’s holding you back and help you make that behavior change. It doesn’t have to be something huge you are struggling with. It can be something like learning how to give up pop or corn chips, or it can be learning how to make time to get in your strength workouts. Go check it out and join me!
